Calcast is a driven force in the underground dance music scene — a DJ and producer known for delivering powerful sets with a razor-sharp attitude behind the decks. His style blends seamless mixing with a touch of scratching, moving effortlessly between House, Techno, Tech House, Drum & Bass, Breaks, and his own original productions and remixes.

His journey with Mad Rhythm began in 2004, quickly transitioning from fan to core contributor. Over the years, Calcast became a staple in the Southwest Florida scene, building a reputation for precision mixing and versatile track selection.

From 2012 to 2014, he formed one half of The Beat Bandidos with longtime friend Pancho (The Beat Addict), releasing a self-titled EP on Electrified Mindz. As a solo artist, Tech House, Techno, Breaks, and DnB became his main focus, earning releases on respected labels like Electrified Mindz, Nerotica Records, Heavy Step Artillery, Del Sol Music, Maintain Replay, Subwoofer, Crackhouse Recordings, Jambalay, Deep Trauma, Let’s Techno, and more.

In 2016, his EP “Sueño con Tech” hit #2 on the Beatport Minimal Top 100 Releases, while his collaboration with Joe Cozzo, “Dark Sunset,” climbed to #25 on the Traxsource Techno Top 100.

Beyond production, Calcast has been a constant presence on stage, opening for heavyweights like A-Sides, Brad Smith, Agent K, Ak1200, Aphrodite, DJ Icey, Egyptian Lover, and many others — performing across Miami, Tampa, Orlando, California, Nebraska, and throughout South Florida.

In 2017, Calcast became co-owner of Mad Rhythm Records, continuing to grow the brand and platform for artists. In 2023, he launched United We Mix, a monthly gathering showcasing SWFL DJs, now approaching its third year, alongside other projects like Our Therapy and Secret Stash. He also hosts his own Mixcloud livestream, “Calcast & Los Amigos of SWFL,” bringing live energy to fans worldwide every other week.

In 2025, Calcast was invited to showcase his track “I Did Wrong” on XCENTRiC RECORDS® platforms, introducing his sound to a wider audience. Following this, he completed his initiation remix of XCENTRiC’s “Get Down,” delivered ahead of deadline — further solidifying his place with the label. Shortly after, Calcast officially signed to XCENTRiC RECORDS® as a roster artist. With the label now fully backing his journey, Calcast is poised to expand his reach and continue bringing his signature sound to dancefloors worldwide.
